Arthur L. Palisoc, Ph.D., Founder and President
Dr. Palisoc’s background is in Physics and Engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California. He has more than 25 years of experience in the space industry with 10 years of experience as a science educator. Dr. Palisoc taught physics and electromagnetics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He was in charge of the design, build and test of the Surface Accuracy Measurement System (SAMS) on the 14 meter diameter inflatable antenna experiment that flew off the Space Shuttle STS-77 mission. He also developed a nonlinear finite element analyzer for membranes and gossamer structures such as space-deployable antennas and solar sails. He was a recipient of multi-million dollar project awards from NASA, NSF and the DoD. He has published a college physics book, contributed a number of book chapters on thermal analysis and over forty technical papers in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of technical conferences and symposia. While a graduate student, Dr. Palisoc developed an extremely fast algorithm in the thermal design and analysis of integrated circuits containing tens of billions of heat dissipating elements; his algorithm made possible the real-time thermal design of electronic devices. His algorithm increased the analysis time by more than six orders of magnitude.
